CONTEXT

Himalaya Exchange wanted an engaging experience for its target users, fast.

In our first client meeting we agreed the scope and how the team could help within a limited timeframe.

We started by identifying what makes an engaging experience for Himalaya Exchange’s users.

PERSONAS + USER FLOWS

I started with three personas, then mapped user flows for buying, selling, funding and portfolios.

Personas came from demographic data, behaviour patterns and user needs, plus research sessions with internal users and stakeholders.

User flows showed the key steps behind every task, so the platform stayed intuitive.

CONTENT + TECHNOLOGY

A content strategy and the right tech stack, chosen for scalability, security and UX.

I decided what content the platform needed, how to present it and how to tailor it to users.

With developers, we chose a technology stack balancing scalability, security and user experience.

UI DESIGN + RESPONSIVENESS

High-fidelity UI that stays clear on every screen size.

I worked closely with developers so the design matched technical requirements and constraints, then we launched the platform to the public.

DEVELOPER DOCUMENTATION

Detailed documentation so developers could maintain and extend the app with confidence.

Design components, interactions and coding standards were all documented, making future updates and features easier to build.

USABILITY TESTING

Prototype testing at every stage kept the design evolving with users.

Participants traded crypto, managed portfolios and funded accounts in interactive prototypes while we observed and collected feedback.

Each round fed straight back into the design.

CONCLUSION

A secure, scalable and user-friendly exchange, built end to end from scratch.

Research, personas, flows, content strategy and testing came together in a platform that met users’ needs. More screens are available on request.
